For Jacques is a large scale charcoal drawing on paper, inspired by the prison letters of Jacques Fesch.

The drawing is cut in the shape of a single arch and installed physically above an existing doorway. As the viewer passes beneath it, a simple domestic threshold is transformed, suggesting movement from the secular toward the sacred.
